Our branches offer a large variety of products catering for the different agricultural industries in the geographical area around each branch. Our products include fertiliser, seed, livestock products, hardware, building material, fuel, fencing, spares and many others. Our mission is to deliver value-adding products and services to the agricultural and related industries and to the communities in which we operate. CTC Timber Products was founded in 2008 after the unbundling of Central Timber Co-operative Limited and consists of a wood-chipping plant in Richards Bay. The wood chipping turns wattle and gum pulpwood into woodchips. These woodchips are dispatched to various international destinations. Shiselweni Forestry Company (SFC) is a forestry company in Swaziland with wattle, eucalyptus and pine plantations. SFC is a founding member and a current member of the Swaziland Fire Protection Association. SAWCO Mining Timber consists of two multipurpose saw mills in Swaziland. The saw mills manufacture eucalyptus and pine products for the South African and international markets. TWK is involved in several collaborative research projects through the ICFR. These include regeneration trials, alternative chemical use, weed control and frost tolerance. Through the FABI, TWK is also supporting private farmers in identifying pests and diseases and the releasing of bio-control agents for different pests. TWK supports BEE that fits in with the group’s business strategies and appreciates the importance of meaningful empowerment for sustainable growth. As confirmation of TWK’s focus on its social responsibility, TWK and its affiliates are actively involved in social upliftment at eight schools in South Africa and Swaziland with financial and moral support. Constantly involved with the prevention of crime, especially regarding timber theft in South Africa and Swaziland, and helping with infrastructure development, especially in the form of water provision to local communities. Potential buyers and sellers can place adverts for the trading of shares by informing the Company Secretariat. The advertisements are then circulated to shareholders via electronic communication. A transfer is only final once all required documentation has been completed, the Board has approved the transfer, and the transaction has been settled between the parties.
